Our first project is our 100% subsidiary veg box horticulture plc (www.vegboxplc.com) in Ethiopia, that is currently ramping up a 300ha farm for fresh fruit and vegetables near the city of Soddo, Wolayta. The project started in August 2015 and the first planting took place in March 2016.  We were delighted to have our first harvest in August 2016. Currently, we are working on the extension of the operation to the full 300ha, which we plan to complete within 18 months. The project intends to give employment to more than 400 people and includes a tree nursery, which will provide the smallholder farmers in the region with good varieties of Mango, Avocado and other crops to allow them to produce marketable fruit.
